Professor TIINA KARU

Did you know that we have our own Estonian laser scientist? Prof. Tiina Karu is one of the most cited scientists in the world at conferences on medical lasers and was the head of the institute in St. Petersburg for many years.

Discovered the effect of laser on the membrane mitochondrial ATP synthesis process.

Thanks to his work, we know today how the laser affects living cells. The stimulatory effect of LLLT "Low Level Laser Therapy" on cells is primarily used in pain therapy.
